Famicom software, ASCII's Best Play Pro Baseball Special. Found it at my parents' house. This is a game I was personally incredibly hooked on. [Memories] Before this, I played Famicom Stadium, but I wasn't satisfied with having to buy a new version every time it was released with updated data, or with the players and their stats. With Best Play Pro Baseball, I could freely create players and their abilities in edit mode, so I could play it forever. It also made me watch professional baseball broadcasts and news diligently, and buy magazines, which deepened my knowledge of professional baseball as a whole. I used to wonder what was so fun about a manager game, but it was really fun to decide the roster, make player substitutions, and manage the team while advancing through the pennant race and aiming for individual titles. --- This is a game I played over 30 years ago. I haven't turned it on since, and I no longer have a Famicom console, so I cannot guarantee its operation. I also don't know the condition of the backup battery.
