As a new endeavor, we have spent three years developing a denim that achieves more intense whiskers and vertical fading (dot fading), while also maintaining the comfortable fit that is characteristic of Full Count. Both the warp and weft use 6.7 count yarn, but the yarn has such extreme unevenness that it can only be described as an average value. Weaving this already difficult-to-weave yarn at low tension and slowly requires a very high level of skill and experience. We asked a veteran craftsman, who is arguably the last person to know the techniques of the 1950s, to specially produce this denim for the first time in about 25 years for Full Count. This denim is rough, and you wouldn't believe it's 13.6oz.
