There are no noticeable scratches or stains. The silicone or rubber band also appears to have little degradation, with no cracks. The battery is dead, so I haven't been able to confirm that it works. It was working until last month. The battery can be replaced with a thin flathead screwdriver. There are scratches from a flathead screwdriver when the back cover was removed during a previous battery replacement. The band holes are adjustable up to about 17cm, so it should fit elementary school children. The movement is made in Japan.
