Based on the design, knots, and construction, it appears to be a Persian rug, possibly from Tabriz, but it could also be a high-quality Pakistani rug. In any case, the quality is comparable to a Persian rug. (This is based on my experience owning many Persian rugs, both silk and wool.) The knot count is approximately 6-7 knots per centimeter, indicating a precise construction. Calculating an average of 6.5 knots, the knot density is 422,000 knots per square meter. The total number of knots in this rug is calculated to be 1.22 million knots. The pattern and composition are superb, and it's one of my favorite rugs among the many I own. The motifs are full of life and intricately drawn, creating a sense of both splendor and dynamism, while the base tone is subdued, giving it an overall chic appearance. It's a piece that can both enhance a space and add a touch of elegance. The fourth photo shows the back of the rug, not the surface. The beautiful pattern visible from the back is a characteristic of high-quality hand-woven rugs. The knots are also neatly aligned. The fringe is also beautifully preserved. Of course, it has been regularly cleaned by a professional cleaning service, and the overall condition is good. I believe it has aged well as a vintage item, with a nice texture and atmosphere.
