This is a bamboo kekkai (boundary marker) that belonged to my mother. It has a branding mark that says "Chikusai," but I don't know the details. In the tea ceremony, a kekkai is used to define the area around the hearth in the tea room or to separate a specific place, but I think it can also be used as interior decoration to create a Japanese atmosphere in your room.
