I made a long skirt by unraveling a Meisen kimono. There are seams where the length was adjusted (Photo 8, center). Please check. Therefore, the price is lower than skirt 186. The original kimono was in very good condition (Photos 9, 10, 11). Since Meisen may fade when washed with water, I only disinfected it with a high-temperature iron. The base color is a gentle salmon pink with a pattern of gray, ball-like motifs. The kasuri patterns and star patterns within the ovals are very cute. The fabric has a moderate luster, and the firmness characteristic of Meisen is also lovely. It looks like it shines orange depending on the viewing angle. I put three long tucks in the front and back to reduce the volume. Although there is plenty of gathering, thanks to the tucks, the waist and hips look neat. I enjoy dressmaking specializing in straight stitching. I use old kimonos, obi, and furoshiki such as tsumugi, Meisen, and komon for remakes. Please consider if you understand thread remnants, small holes, stains from used items, distortions, double stitching, etc. ✳︎Please avoid washing as much as possible, and hang it on a hanger after wearing it to let it breathe. ✳︎Everything except the skirt is for photography. ✳︎No lining is attached.
