Perfect for a relaxing break. Maehata is a very popular ceramic manufacturer, and the Koyama Gama Seika Ryokusai series is a long seller that has been running since its release in 1982. This is an innovative "colored overglaze dyeing" technique that incorporates the advantages of both the moist sometsuke (underglaze painting) and the gorgeous, colorful overglaze. The refreshing blue and green colors feature fruit motifs (pomegranate, loquat, peach, lychee) that represent "good luck" and "prosperity of descendants" (・̑◡・̑). These fruits are called "sacred fruits," and I thought it was interesting that they might have been chosen for the design, playing on the "Seika" (blue and white) aspect (^-^). Sizes: [Teacup] Diameter approx. 8.5cm, height approx. 9.7cm. [Small dish] Diameter approx. 9.3cm, height approx. 3.2cm. A set for a relaxing break. A large teacup. Can also be used as a tea or sake cup. The small dish is perfect for serving small snacks or appetizers. The popular Seika Ryokusai series has recently been confirmed to be completely discontinued, with only the manufacturer's stock available Σ（゜д゜lll). This particular set was discontinued quite some time ago, and I rarely see it for sale, so I think it's a rare set. Treasures from my parents' home. Beautiful condition!
