This is a 1/500 scale diecast model of a Boeing B747SR in the Boeing house colors, an InFlight model. Back then, Boeing was trying to sell to the Japanese market under the name "SUPER AIRBUS." This model is based on the aircraft used during demonstrations in Japan, but the registration number printed on the aircraft, JA8117, has a story behind it.
