The lace is woven with incredibly fine thread, resulting in a very delicate pattern. A high-quality linen lace doily. I was told that it was quite expensive. It's a glass mini plate with a gold-colored metal frame, with the lace sandwiched between two pieces of glass. There's a hook hole on the back for hanging on a wall.
