MINOLTA CLE rangefinder camera body with Leica M mount. Overhauled in May 2025. Tested and working properly. The exterior condition is generally clean for a used item (see photos). Considering it's been 45 years since its release in 1980, it's in good condition. There are minor wear and scratches, but no major damage like dents. Included: CLE body, body cap. A copy of the overhaul repair receipt will be included. The Minolta CLE was produced in 1980, based on the Minolta XG series SLR. The viewfinder has bright frames for 28mm, 40mm, and 90mm focal lengths. The body was black, except for 300 gold-plated models sold in the Japanese market. The CLE features an electronic focal-plane shutter with speeds up to 1/1000 second and a TTL silicon photodiode (SPD) exposure meter that allows for aperture-priority automatic or manual exposure. It also automatically adjusts the shutter speed and TTL off-the-film (OTF) flash during exposure with an automatic ambient light and flash exposure metering system. The ambient light metering mechanism is very similar to that used in the then-cutting-edge Olympus OM-2n SLR camera. Ambient light is measured by the SPD as light reflected from the shutter curtain pattern.
