This is a cider cup purchased in France. Locally, it has been popular as a bowl with a handle. Made of terre de fer, fired at a low temperature. The soft texture and gentle ivory color soothe the mind. The size is perfect for coffee and tea, and the straight foot shape has a simple, understated appearance. (Before use, soaking it in water may prevent stains. Please use at your own discretion.) There are kiln marks and signs of aging, but there are no cracks or major chips, and it is in a glossy condition. (The cracks in the glaze on the bottom of the cup do not affect the body.)
