I am releasing a special, treasured collection. This is a Kapala, a Tibetan Buddhist ritual object. It uses the skull of a genuine Tibetan monk. The Tibetan skulls currently listed are Nepalese ritual objects, but this is a genuine Tibetan Kapala. The back still has beautiful traces of blood vessels. In Tibetan Buddhism, reincarnation is believed, and the deceased are subjected to sky burial, with only specific monks' remains kept as ritual objects. The head is considered particularly important, and it is said that opening the head allows for the release of knowledge, and drinking alcohol from the crown of the head transmits knowledge and experience. Afterwards, it is enshrined in a temple with respectful and careful decoration. It is believed to have been created about 50 years ago. There is a hole in the crown of the head, likely where a jewel was embedded, which was removed when it was taken from the temple. This is a very valuable cursed object. On this site and Yahoo Auctions, large Kapalas rarely appear at this price. The case in the photos will also be included. As it is an old item, there are stains and small scratches due to aging.
