【Rare】 Vintage ROYAL KENDAL Royal Kendal Fortune-Telling Cup Fortune Telling - Zodiac Signs Teacup & Saucer One piece Discontinued item From around 1920 to 1930, a popular pastime in England was the tea-time game of 【Tea Leaf Reading】, and this is a Fortune-Telling cup specifically for that purpose. Nowadays, a strainer is used to prevent tea leaves from entering the cup, but this cup was used without one. After finishing the tea, the game involved divining fortunes from the tea leaves remaining at the bottom of the cup, and it seems to have appeared in the Harry Potter movies. Fortunes were told based on the shape, position, and number of tea leaves, and there were even guidebooks for it. Special cups were also made, some with playing card designs, but this one features zodiac signs.
