"Further Ado" Greg Osby A leader album released in 1997 by Greg Osby, a saxophonist from the M-BASE group, on Blue Note. It features Osby's unique saxophone phrases, which blend hip-funk and traditional jazz. The compositions and the performances of the backing members match this, resulting in an album that is very much his style, ranging from slightly hard-edged tracks to ballads. Nine out of the ten tracks are composed by Greg Osby. This album further pushes his unique jazz direction, with many complex melodies in the themes themselves, all of which are still very original. Jason Moran on piano is also quite individual, even surpassing Greg Osby, and is worth noting. Imported release from the US Blue Note Label in 1997.
