This is a modified Yamaha YTR-8335G, featuring a leadpipe (commonly known as the Malone pipe) designed by Bob Malone, which is used in the NY model. It has a single brace. The Malone pipe is known for: * Excellent response * Direct response to breath * A core sound that is easy to control While the tone is not overly bright, it can be sufficiently controlled by breath speed and angle, making it suitable for classical, concert band, and orchestral repertoire. It is versatile enough to handle: * Big band / Pops / Studio work * Concert band * General classical music It has a wide range of applications, and I believe it is an instrument that "can be used on the job and produces a sound that sings." I am selling it because it is slightly different from my musical style and usage environment, but it is a highly versatile instrument with a high degree of completion.
