"Kingfisher Gem" This is a bookend featuring a kingfisher and its base carved as a single piece. I bought it at Karuizawa a long time ago, captivated by it at first sight. The kingfisher and the base are carved as one, not glued together. It's a beautiful bookend with a vividly colored kingfisher carved on a tasteful brown base. I've kept it carefully since I bought it because I loved it, and I enjoyed looking at it.
