Plastic case has been replaced. ■ "12 Methodische Sonaten" presents the techniques of melodic ornamentation from the Baroque period in the form of sheet music for general enthusiasts, making it an extremely valuable historical document for understanding the performance practices of the time. The first edition score printed the original melodic line and Telemann's ornamentation examples on upper and lower staves, encouraging the performer's spontaneous creativity in the performance. ■ This recording, supervised by Frans Brüggen, and featuring Brüggen and other leading period instrument performers of the 1980s, was the world's first complete recording of the work. The performance beautifully expresses the articulation of the Baroque era based on a firm understanding of the style. Furthermore, this collection, which was published without specifying instruments, is performed on this recording by three groups of performers in a trio formation, mainly featuring violin, flute traversière, and oboe (CD Journal).
