The lacquer is in very clean and excellent condition overall, close to new. There are some minor scratches and scuffs from use (inside the bell), and a few very shallow dents about the size of a grain of rice, but these do not affect playability at all. All rotary levers and slides function properly, so it is ready to play immediately. This horn has a powerful sound and the clear, rich resonance unique to nickel silver. The intonation is stable, and it plays very well across the entire range. Before listing, I confirmed that it plays well over three octaves, from low F to high F.
