This is a tsukesage kimono with a glossy fabric woven in a fine checkered pattern, decorated solely with camellia embroidery. It's a chic and stylish kimono. The camellia embroidery is done by hand, generously on the front panel (mae-kami) and also on the tip of the right sleeve. Additionally, red camellias are embroidered on the hakake (hem lining) of the front panel lining, and white camellias on the lower front panel, designed to be glimpsed when walking. It is a "dounuki" style, meaning it does not have a full lining (dou-ura), making it very light and comfortable to wear.
