My purchase history from that time is no longer available, so I am unsure about their light-blocking or fire-retardant properties. However, I used them on a south-facing window and did not experience any particular inconvenience. I am selling them because they no longer fit after moving. They have been used for about 10 years by two adults with no pets. Although they are used, I believe they are in good condition with no stains. They have been washed.
