A set of 6 records with an early-adopter, alternative/mixture vibe. The records are relatively clean, but "Root Down" has a scratch on the side as shown in the photo. * **BAD BRAINS - Bad Brains** The iconic jacket. A masterpiece that boldly fuses punk, hardcore, reggae, and dub. * **The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - Orange** A band led by the eccentric Jon Spencer, fusing punk, hardcore, and blues. Highly recommended for fans of Blankey Jet City and Thee Michelle Gun Elephant. * **BECK - Loser** The bottleneck blues phrase combined with a hip-hop beat and laid-back rap is superb. Back then, "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana, "Creep" by Radiohead, and this song were (in my opinion) the three major alternative anthems. * **The Beastie Boys - Root Down** A hip-hop track that boldly samples Jimmy Smith's jazz organ. It's wonderful how they incorporate "Root Down" into the lyrics, respecting the instrumental original. * **The Beastie Boys - Scientists of Sound** A collection of rare tracks from the album "HELLO NASTY." You can (probably) only hear it on this record. * **KASABIAN - processed beats** 10-inch record. The jacket was only a paper sleeve as shown in the photo from the time of purchase. I haven't listened to it much, so no comment. Due to the age of the records, both the jackets and the discs have some wear and light scratches commensurate with age. There are no major playback issues, but please purchase only if you understand that these are used items from a bygone era. Thank you for looking.
