This is a black wooden sword purchased in Kyoto's Higashiyama district. I fell in love with the black color because it looks cool, and I bought it, but it was too heavy for me. I used it for practice swings a few times, but it has been stored at home ever since. The handle is wrapped from the beginning. It helps prevent slipping. There is some deterioration in the wrapping.
