It has been modified and used as a floor tom, combined with an 18-inch bass drum from a YD9000. Although it looks bad, I believe the sound blends well with the 9000 series. Previously, when I was looking for a 14x14 YD9000, I was interested in the fact that the lugs were Yamaha YD9000 series high-tension lugs, so I bought this used item. After disassembling it, I noticed that the shell and edges looked similar to the 9000, and I found articles stating that Nikkan had become a subsidiary of Yamaha around this time. I concluded that it was an OEM of the YAMAHA marching snare MS series, which is all birch. I anticipated that it would produce the sound I was looking for, so I modified it. My expectations were met, but I am selling it because I finally obtained a 14x14 and it looks bad. If you don't mind the appearance as long as the sound is good, please consider it.
