Powdered charcoal is mixed into the plaster for coloring and mold prevention. This charcoal is food-grade, so you can use it with confidence. The plaster nest and plastic case have holes for adding water and connecting to the feeding area. Also, because the design fits the plastic case perfectly, you can remove and wash the plaster nest, although it requires some skill. This allows for long-term use. The white powder is applied to the sides of the feeding area to prevent escapes when changing food. Although unused, there are scratches on the plastic case.
