An old Wajima-nuri lacquerware tray. This item features a graceful flowing water and turtle makie design on aged black lacquer. The auspicious turtle motif makie is of high quality, employing a togidashi (burnished) technique with a mix of gold and silver. There are some minor scratches and small edge damage as shown in the images. The size is 27.5 cm wide and 4 cm high. Please understand that this is an antique item.
