They advised me that snow wear that is too long is dangerous, so it's better to get a perfect fit. I bought the perfect size new (I think if I had bought one too big, the hem would have been too long and made it difficult to move in the snow). My child outgrew it after one or two seasons because the crotch started to feel tight. It was used about 3 or 4 times a season, so I think the condition is good. Because it's Burton pants, they are very sturdy, and there were no problems like snow seeping in and getting wet.
