This is an early model of the Helios-44-2 lens, known for using Zeiss glass. While there are some scratches on the body, I believe it is in quite good condition for an old Russian lens. It is difficult to find items in this good condition in Japan. It is an M39 mount, but you can use it with an M42 adapter by attaching an M42 conversion ring. The conversion ring is included. Please note that it is not a Leica L mount (l39). When connected to an M42 mount via the conversion ring, the position of the lens markings may be slightly misaligned. This does not affect the image quality at all, but I have mentioned it just in case, as some people may be very particular about this. Front and rear caps are also included. The inside of the lens is very clear, with no mold or haze. Due to the lens's construction, dust tends to enter easily, and there may be some minor dust particles, but they are insignificant and do not affect the image quality. The focus ring has also been greased, so it moves smoothly. Both the aperture ring and the focus ring move normally. I believe this is a lens that is in generally good condition. As an aside, if you do not have an adapter, I recommend purchasing an adapter made by K&F Concept. Inexpensive adapters that can be purchased for under 1000 yen may lack precision, and it is safer to purchase a well-made one. If you have any questions, please ask. I will answer them as best I can.
