This is an inkless pen designed by Pininfarina. (4.EVER CAMBIANO) It writes through a chemical reaction caused by the friction between the metal tip and the paper. It requires no ink and is advertised as being able to write semi-permanently. The writing is a bit faint even with strong pressure, but this seems to be the nature of this type of pen, as I've experienced the same with other pens using a similar mechanism. I purchased this item over 10 years ago at a stationery store in Milan, Italy, when it was first released.
