Retro Vintage Buddhism Court Painter Ryotaku Kimura - Mitsumen Daikokuten (Three-Faced Daikokuten) Shikishi (Square Paper) Tenkai Daisojo's (High Priest) Teachings Shikishi Wooden Frame with Glass Front Purchased new over 30 years ago, occasionally displayed. Condition: Fading, some stains, and minor scratches on the Daikokuten shikishi. Stains, yellowing, water stains (only on the paper inside the frame), folds, and wrinkles on the Teachings paper. Minor scratches, scuffs, and stains on the frame; paper-like material attached to the top corners; yellowing and detachment of cellophane tape; cracks around the metal fittings from the manufacturing process (see photo 9). Please understand that these are used, vintage items. The Daikokuten shikishi's plastic bag and the glass front of the frame have been cleaned with alcohol, and the rest with a soft cloth. The shikishi are in relatively good condition for their age, with little yellowing. The Mitsumen Daikokuten combines the powers of Daikokuten, Bishamonten, and Benzaiten, and is said to bring blessings of fortune, virtue, and wisdom. The Teachings are said to have been composed by Tenkai Daisojo, who lived to the age of 108 in an era when life expectancy was said to be 50 years, when asked about the secret to longevity.
