⚫︎ Remade Scarf from Vintage Kimono with Frills ⚫︎ Material The material is unknown as it was purchased from a vintage kimono. It is thin, soft, and has a supple feel. It feels like a typical scarf. I believe it might be polyester (personal opinion). ⚫︎ Usage The vintage kimono was hand-washed at home to remove dirt before being remade into clothing. It has only been tried on after completion. As the original material is from a vintage kimono, please only purchase if you understand and appreciate vintage clothing, old fabrics, and antique items. ⚫︎ Presence of Tears or Holes ① In the plain pink section, there are some areas where dirt remains along the fold lines from when it was sewn as a kimono. There are no holes, moth damage, or large stains that would prevent wear. Images of the soiled areas are provided. ⚫︎ Design Highlights The colors are gentle and spring-like: pale pink, peach, orange, yellow, and white. The floral pattern appears to be plum blossoms (I'm not knowledgeable about plants, so please check the images). It is reversible. It is not a standard rectangular or square scarf. It is shaped like a shawl that can be draped over the shoulders. ⚫︎ Basic Styling Method ① Drape it over your shoulders so that the middle of the fabric is at the center back of your neck. ② The ends will hang down. You can secure them with a brooch, tie them in a bow, a single knot, or however you prefer. ⚫︎ Styling Variations Tie it asymmetrically, higher up around your neck, or lower around your chest... as you like. The kimono pattern varies depending on the section. You can bring out your favorite patterns or change the position depending on your mood. You can enjoy various ways of wearing it!
