This is a Greco semi-acoustic guitar made in Japan in 1981. It's a copy model of the Gibson ES-335TD from that era. This rare model was produced by Fujigen in Japan during the so-called "Super Real Project" period. This is the beginning of Greco's golden age, the Super Real period. It's truly rare to find one in full original condition with the binding still in such good shape. It seems that the SA-700 and above models at the time had lacquer finishes (according to the catalog at the time). The nicely aged lacquer color gives it a vintage feel. The color is what's known as wine red. The body top has a subtle bird's eye figure overall. It's also a rather niche model, a copy of the Gibson ES-335TD model from around 1970, with a 3-piece maple neck, and unlike most 335s, it replicates the coil-tap switch. It also has fret edge binding, just like the original. Gibson made this model until around 1978, so the manufacturing period is similar. The pickups are the original "The Groove" pickups. The body is maple top with a spruce center block. The condition is good, with some minor scratches, but no major damage, and it's in remarkably good condition considering its age. The only thing that stands out at a glance is a few scratches on the back of the body. The sound is fine, and there's almost no crackling. The coil tap also works without any problems. It seems it hadn't been played much and was stored in a warehouse, so it's in full original condition with almost no fret wear. Moreover, it has the original crown inlays and the same shape of truss rod cover as the original, with two-point attachment. The original tuners used only during this period were installed, and this is a very rare model, as it was only made for a very short time. It's unlikely that you'll find one in such good condition on the market in the future, and its market value will likely only increase. I don't want to let it go, but I don't really have many opportunities to use a semi-acoustic guitar. I'm debating whether to keep it and cherish it as part of my collection, but I'm willing to sell it if someone needs it.
