This is a kendo "do" (body protector). The do-dai (body) is made of 60-piece bamboo. It is the so-called navy blue fabric. The back is wiped lacquer. There are no names or other markings. The "mune" (chest protector) is made in the Philippines. It is from the now-defunct Takemura Sangyo, using 10,000-count navy blue fabric. I use a similar one, and in my subjective opinion, I haven't felt any major issues with durability, and it gives the impression of developing a nice sheen. The design has an "inome" (boar's eye) pattern in the center, giving it an old-fashioned feel. The opening is about 41cm. I think it's about a general L size. There are some strike marks, mainly on the right side. No other major damage is apparent. This is a used item for sale. Please refrain from bidding if you are looking for perfection.
