The breed appears to be a Soay. Lots of dry grass was mixed in with the fluffy wool. It was gently hand-washed, dyed (chemical dye), and the colors were created by blending many colors. Single ply + single ply → 2-ply. Spinning 2-ply yarn takes three times the effort. The length of the yarn is calculated by the number of skein windings (1.5m/1 wrap). The twist has been set.
