This attachment allows you to create uniform shirring on fabric by stretching and sewing a rubber cord through the center of 1/8 inch (approx. 3.2mm) flat elastic. The amount of gathering can be adjusted by adjusting the screw on the presser foot. When threading the rubber cord for the first time, loosen the adjustment screw. It's easier to thread if you cut the end of the rubber cord at an angle. ☆ You can also sew non-stretch cords of the same width. ☆ Each presser foot is polished before being listed, but please understand that there may be scratches or cloudiness on the metal surface due to the used condition. ☆ I also have other presser feet for sale.
