This DAS-703ES has a lot of components and is still very popular. However, the VOC unit, which controls the clock, is weak, and few of them work properly. When I got it, the VOC unit was broken, and the sound only came out for a few seconds. I found someone online who made their own VOC unit, so I used that and the circuit diagram to create one using a universal board. I couldn't find the parts in Japan, so I ordered them from overseas (eBay) and repaired it. That part is not original. It's been over a year since the repair, and there are no problems. The LED was also broken, so I changed it to white. In my opinion, I have also owned the latest DUAL ES9038PRO DAC and DUAL AK4499EQ DAC, but it's hard to say which is better. This SONY DAC synchronizes with the frequency of the music signal, so it can reproduce all frequency signals. Since it has coaxial input, you can insert a USB-coaxial conversion DD unit, and you can play foobar2000. I am playing it this way. This is a bare-bones DD board, but I won't be using it anymore, so I will attach it if you like (the black cap comes off easily). I am selling it to organize my household items.
