This is a desert ironwood wooden shaft mechanical pencil. The lead diameter is 0.5mm. Since it uses the same mechanism as the Pentel PG-METAL, you can change it to 0.3mm or 0.7mm leads by purchasing commercially available parts. The polished desert ironwood has a beautiful luster that resembles gold. The wooden shaft has a streamlined shape and a low center of gravity, making it very easy to write with while enjoying the tactile feel. It is thinner than those from Kobo Setsuri and about the same thickness as those from Nohara Kogei.
