【Unused】Genuine leather, enamel-finished zori (Japanese sandals). The mocha brown enamel platform is beautifully complemented by the traditional Inden (leather with lacquer) straps in a subdued tone. The two-layered platform is plump and the oval shape makes them very comfortable to wear and less tiring. The thong features a black deerskin with a gray lacquer cherry blossom pattern. Generally, lacquer colors are often white (off-white), black, or red, and gray is quite rare. It blends well with the color of the platform. The underside of the thong is made of genuine ten (a soft fabric) for a plush feel. Both the straps and the platform are made by skilled zori craftsmen in Tokyo. They are made with great care, are durable, and long-lasting. These are authentic zori made with carefully selected materials and hand craftsmanship. There are only a handful of craftsmen in the country who can create this level of quality, and they are all reportedly elderly. Even if the zori look similar at first glance, the materials used inside are different. This affects whether repairs can be made later on. The color is subdued and not often seen. They would be perfect for stylish outfits like tsumugi (pongee silk).
