Although automobile transport by Ku5000 was once discontinued in March 1984, at the end of JNR, due to the strong demand for passenger cars both domestically and internationally, railway transport of automobiles manufactured at the Nissan Motor Tochigi plant was revived in March 1985. In addition to dedicated trains from Utsunomiya to Yokohama Honmoku (for export) and Chidoricho (for domestic use), transportation to local areas was carried out by connecting to dedicated freight trains. The color scheme was changed from the original single red color to a two-tone blue and red, and then to the blue, white, and red tricolor, which was also the corporate color of Nissan Motor at the time. At that time, among the automobiles loaded on the Ku5000, the Cedric and Pulsar, which were often seen, were selected as prototypes, and will be released in a total of 7 molding colors, with 8 cars per set. They are suitable as loading automobiles for the "Ku5000 Tricolor Color".
