This is an old fukuro obi (formal obi). It has been worn many times. The obi has a black to dark green background with a woven pattern of camellia flowers and birds, giving it a calm yet華やかさ (splendor). Gold thread is used, giving it an elegant shine depending on the light. While there are no noticeable stains or major damage, due to its age, there are fold lines and a vintage feel.
