This item was stored for a long time in my grandparents' storehouse. I don't know the details, but I believe it was made sometime between the Taisho and early Showa periods, or immediately after the war. It appears to be a natural ash glaze. It's a simple, glossy hibachi (fire pot) without any painted designs. It's also recommended for use as a bowl for goldfish or medaka (Japanese rice fish). The bright color will make them stand out. The foot has years of dirt and moss stains, and the finish isn't very clean. There are several noticeable chips on the underside of the rim, and one on the surface. Other than that, there are no critical cracks, and considering its age, it's in quite good condition. The overall shape has very little distortion. Water leakage has been confirmed. The gravel-like material accumulated at the bottom is dust from the kiln that was caught during firing. Please consider this a characteristic of works fired in climbing kilns or anagama kilns. I am an amateur, so there may be errors or oversights, but please forgive me. Please purchase with a full understanding that this is an item made and used in an old era, and that it has been stored for several decades. Please refer to the images for the size. Shipping will be via anonymous delivery, either by one of the services. I will decide which service to use based on my convenience. Thank you for your understanding.
