One side of the edge is unfinished. There may be some fraying at the beginning of use. The old towel sheets were washed, cut with scissors, and sewn with a sewing machine. There may be some fraying, misalignment, and puckering of the sewing machine thread. The towel sheets themselves have been washed many times and may have discoloration, fluffing, pilling, tears, wear, and stains.
