A Seymour Duncan Jazz Bass made by ESP around 2002. Weight: 4.0 kg. The ash body and maple fingerboard combination results in a fast attack, tight low-end, and a bright sound with clear contours. The pickups are Duncan SJB-1. The quality of the materials and craftsmanship is on par with Navigator. I particularly like the neck. The fret edges have been smoothed and rounded by a repair shop, making it comfortable to play. The neck, which is almost quarter-sawn, is straight, and there is 80% fret remaining. There are minor scratches, but no significant damage to worry about, and it's a solid, good neck. The neck is stable and has had no issues, and I have not touched the truss rod since acquiring it, as I don't want to apply unnecessary stress. I recommend this bass for those who want to play slap bass aggressively, although I don't play that way myself. It's also a perfect JB for funk, gospel, and R&B. Comes with a gig bag.
