Purchased new for approximately 70,000 yen, it was immediately taken to a workshop for fretless conversion, which cost 45,000 yen. The setup included a new nut, which was also professionally done. The setup itself cost around 20,000 yen. It has only been taken to the studio a few times for recording sessions. The condition is clean. For this sale, it has only been used to record a sample sound. The 3-band equalizer works exceptionally well, allowing for a wide range of sounds. I am selling it because I am switching to a different fretless bass. It has been set up at the workshop. The string height is less than 2.3mm at the 12th fret, making it easy to play. I think it sounds quite good. This is a model that is hard to find even if you wanted one now. In the photos, it looks like it has frets. When playing in a band, everyone thinks it's a fretted bass, but when the sound starts, the band members look at me. I signal them with eye contact, letting them know it's fretless. The fret lines are intentionally double-lined with the darkest color, so the fretless conversion actually cost even more.
