It's a Märklin plate. I bought it on Mercari intending to hang it on my room's wall, but I didn't end up using it, so I'm putting it up for sale. It's made of wood and finished with a matte paint. The design is the same on both sides, as shown in the second and third photos. There are two spots on each side where the holes, possibly from screws, have been filled with putty. Please check the photos for these as well. There are also small scratches if you look closely, but I personally think it's a beautiful item.
