If you're in love with old lenses, this is one you should definitely try. It's a very straightforward and high-resolution type, and unless you intentionally shoot into the backlight, it rarely produces strong flares, making you feel like you're being taught by a 90-year-old, "kids these days." It's an old but easy-to-handle standard lens. This model is a coated model. It has a blue coating. I've prepared some sample photos taken with this lens. I took it out for street snaps in Akasaka. Street snaps require things like being small and inconspicuous, and a fast aperture for quick focusing, but the coating on this lens helps maintain contrast even in cloudy weather. It's an old lens, so it's not about vividness, but I think it can reproduce natural colors. Regarding the condition, there are small scratches on the front ring, and some paint peeling on the infrared index, but the lens barrel is shiny. The optics have a beautiful coating. It looks perfect at first glance, but upon close inspection, there are minor cleaning marks, but I think the cloudiness from aging has been removed. Both the aperture and focusing rings are smooth and work well. It's quite rare to find a model with blue coating but not a red Elmar. It's not the type to produce flashy ghosts, but it's recommended as a daily-use lens for taking flavorful snapshots.
