This is a standard replacement pickup, the Duncan '59. It's the SH-1N4C/SH-1B. Open humbuckers, double black. I installed it in a Yamaha SG-1000 and took it out immediately after playing it a little. In other words, it's hardly been used. As for the sound, since the SG-1000's original pickups have a strong flavor, this was just a "normal humbucker." I didn't feel any particular characteristics. Originally, I wanted to get them in 2-conductor configuration, but there was only 4-conductor in stock, so they're mismatched. The 4-conductor is wired as a humbucker. You can unwind it and wire it to a switch for coil tapping. The length of the wiring cable is the same as when it was shipped.
