It is a tribal rug from the Taimani people, who live a nomadic life in Herat Province, Afghanistan. Despite its rough, coarse weave, it has a soft texture and is a warm, primitive rug. Visually, it's a large size that would cover my living room. The long pile is incredibly fluffy, and the difference from other rugs is immediately apparent when you step on it with bare feet. The natural texture unique to Taimani rugs will blend well with any floor color. As a vintage rug from the 1960s, it's quite old, but it doesn't show much wear and tear. It's in mint condition, with no noticeable stains or damage, and no repairs are visible. The red yarn woven into part of the kilim end is a charming detail.
