Nanbu Akane Dyeing Shibori (Tie-Dye) A silk fukuro obi (formal obi). This is a plant-dyed fabric, dyed with the roots of the akane (madder) plant. It is a shibori (tie-dye) that requires a lot of labor. It has a unique reddish shibori pattern, but this fukuro obi has a subdued red color. It doesn't feel overly flashy.
