Special Antique Early 1900s, France This antique crinoline pannier is covered in fabric flowers, like a colorful flower garden. Size for a fashionable mademoiselle. This rare, one-of-a-kind antique was carefully sourced over time from an overseas shop that specializes in antiques. The silhouette is a combination of a bustier corset and a pannier. The skirt part drapes down with rounded sides like a canopy curtain, and there is a ribbon decoration on the front. Usually, crinoline panniers are worn inside dresses, so the designs are typically simple, such as a birdcage style or fabric-covered. However, a decorative design like this, where the pannier is the main focus, is extremely rare. A dealer with about 40 years of experience in antiques was surprised, saying it was the first time they had seen such an item. I am deeply moved that such a treasure, with so many fabric flowers packed together, in good condition, and with the pink of the bustier and skirt still vibrant, has been preserved by human hands and still exists today. There are some minor areas of damage, but they do not detract from the overall beauty, and the elegant silhouette remains intact. I temporarily displayed it on a 145cm tall torso, but due to family circumstances, I had to get rid of the torso and have been displaying the pannier alone on top of a chest. The width is about 95cm and the length is about 38cm, but it can be folded flat, making it easy to store. I was fortunate enough to acquire it, but after the purchase, I received inquiries from several collectors in France, Belgium, and the United States, some of whom offered to buy it for 2000 euros. I believe this is an item you won't find anywhere else, and you won't encounter it again. I am hesitant to list it for sale, so I will make it a short-term listing. Due to the 7% Mercari commission campaign, those who can make a payment by the 5th will receive a discount, so please let me know. In the last photo, I used it as a background under a doll, thinking it was a luxury. It makes the photos look gorgeous and very cute, like a flower garden.
