78 rpm SP record. It's D.B.2961/83 (12-inch, 23 discs) from HMV in the UK. Color Nipper label, complete first edition. All three original albums are included. Slight damage and stains on the seams, and writing inside. Very good to like new condition. The record surfaces have only minor scratches that don't affect the sound, otherwise they are like new and gleaming. There is almost no of the crackling noise common with British pressings, and I believe this set is in the best possible condition. The cast and performers are as follows: Salvatore Baccaloni (Leporello: Bass) John Brownlee (Don Giovanni: Baritone) Luise Helletsgruber (Donna Elvira: Soprano) Roy Henderson (Masetto: Baritone) Audrey Mildmay (Zerlina: Soprano) Koloman von Pataky (Don Ottavio: Tenor) Ina Souez (Donna Anna: Soprano) David Franklin (Commendatore: Bass) Conducted by Fritz Busch Glyndebourne Festival Orchestra Glyndebourne Festival Chorus Recorded at Glyndebourne in 1936 A masterpiece that needs no explanation. The world's first complete recording. A celebrated performance praised by Ms. Mitsuko Uchida, and the performance remains brilliant to this day, a supreme recording. Terra Rare record.
